Healing with Sound

For those of you who are mothers and have rocked, patted or hummed your children to sleep or when they were ill… or for those who may have had mothers who did these things, then you have already experienced healing with sound. What… too simple for you? No… that’s just how simple it is.

Healing with sound is an exciting area being explored by scientists, doctors, alternative medicine practitioners and anyone interested in keeping their bodies happy and healthy. In our class we will explore toning, chanting, drumming. We will discuss sound frequencies and the methods they can be incorporated into music and other healing techniques. We will work with music, voices, tuning forks, tibetan singing bowls and a digital frequency generator. Each participant will have the chance to play hands-on with an assortment of tools and instruments. Generally the class is noisy and fun.
